I like the first one better. Did something finally pop with all that power?

ZZP isn't lying about the trans being the next weak point.

Lost 3rd gear, trans isn't happy-

My girl's Ford Escape wasn't far behind me, so the Ford brought me home. I'll never hear the end of that one.

Sounds like sheared teeth or a pressure plate disintegrated. 3rd gone huh. I want to see pics of this tear-down.

So sorry man.

that sucks
Unfortunatley making lots of power equals finding the week point and braking.
Just ask my Crankshaft On my old motor on my coupe.
Hope ya get it fixed soon.

It's all part of the game, I wasn't pleased, but I laughed it off quite well yesterday. Had it towed 45 mins home by a buddy whom works locally. All went well.

My condolences on the dead transmission. To paraphrase a line from The Six Million Dollar Man: " We can rebuild him.We can make him stronger. We can make him faster............"
X2 on seeing some pics of the teardown. If you lost only 3rd gear, I would guess the gear or shaft end popped.

Well, I'm having an affair.

Not a bad loaner for a couple days, matches my roommate's Jeep nicely, and well I am chewing on it somewhat.
