Talking Custom Magnaflow Dual Exhaust

Had the day off, so I thought why not?

Instead of putting it on youtube, I made it downloadable for better sound quality, hopefully. It was windy today so I plan on making another video in a few days. The sound is actually pretty close. If you have a sub you will enjoy it I think. It's deep enough to make my rear view mirror shake.

Sorry, haven't taken any pics yet...

I had to cut it out. It took just about as long to measure and make a template than to cut it. I wanted to make sure it looked good.

Rain, wind, or both are in the forecast for a few more days. I'll try to get another one with revving and a better take off. I'll take some pictures as well.

Almost forgot. This is the stuff I used:

With parts and labor it was about the same price as the Magnaflow catback system

Finally took some pictures. I'm not trying to brag here, but looking at other pictures of dual exhaust HHR's (with rear exits), I think mine looks the smoothest. I was really happy with the work they did.
I put a heat shield on afterwards, just to be safe. (It's supposed to be loose like that)

It's still too windy for another video. Hopefully I can get one before winter.

The stock pipe was used. The new pipe starts right before the Y.

You can use about anything to cut out the rough shape. After that I used an electric drill with a cone shaped metal die grinder attachment with cutting edges (not sure what it's called) to smooth it out a bit, then used a grinding stone attachment to finish it. There are probably better tools to use, but they worked for me. I'd still like to change the shape of the hole I cut, it looks like it might be a little off. It's hard to tell though because on the drivers side the bumper goes in a half inch or so and the other side is smooth.
