Custom Magnaflow Dual Exhaust
Had the day off, so I thought why not?
http://www.orbitfiles.com/download/id2124038111.html (Just click) http://www.fileden.com/files/2006/11..._Exhaust_1.wmv Mirror (Right click, Save as) Instead of putting it on youtube, I made it downloadable for better sound quality, hopefully. It was windy today so I plan on making another video in a few days. The sound is actually pretty close. If you have a sub you will enjoy it I think. It's deep enough to make my rear view mirror shake. Sorry, haven't taken any pics yet... |
Looks awesome:thumb: how did you get second "hole" for dual exhaust?
|

Rain, wind, or both are in the forecast for a few more days. I'll try to get another one with revving and a better take off. I'll take some pictures as well. Almost forgot. This is the stuff I used: Attachment 39228 Attachment 39229 With parts and labor it was about the same price as the Magnaflow catback system |
Damn you! Great job on the duals and the hole cut out, really looks nice. :thumb:

Finally took some pictures. I'm not trying to brag here, but looking at other pictures of dual exhaust HHR's (with rear exits), I think mine looks the smoothest. I was really happy with the work they did. :thumb:
I put a heat shield on afterwards, just to be safe. (It's supposed to be loose like that) https://www.chevyhhr.net/gallery/fil.../Exhaust_1.jpg https://www.chevyhhr.net/gallery/fil.../Exhaust_3.jpg https://www.chevyhhr.net/gallery/fil.../Exhaust_2.jpg https://www.chevyhhr.net/gallery/fil.../Exhaust_4.jpg It's still too windy for another video. Hopefully I can get one before winter. |

You can use about anything to cut out the rough shape. After that I used an electric drill with a cone shaped metal die grinder attachment with cutting edges (not sure what it's called) to smooth it out a bit, then used a grinding stone attachment to finish it. There are probably better tools to use, but they worked for me. I'd still like to change the shape of the hole I cut, it looks like it might be a little off. It's hard to tell though because on the drivers side the bumper goes in a half inch or so and the other side is smooth. |
SWEET :thumb:
