GM Performance Parts Intake
I would like to purchase the gmpp exhaust but that system is to pricey. I could purchase quite a bit of other mods along with the Magnaflow system and still have some money left over for what you are purchasing the gmpp exhaust for.

That is the seller and cap I ordered, I like the gunmetal finish a lot, doesn't stand out as much as the polish would.

I did some investigation into this Cold Air Intake...
For the ones that already installed it...
Have you notice theres, a few tooling holes in the sheet metal construction?
Also the four corners where the sheet metal is bent , is some very
large holes....
Also two sizable openings where the two mounting tabs/threaded nuts are...
The four pieces of rubber you get with it.. doesn't complete go around the
the round corners....
All of this is allowing the hot air in the engine compartment go inside of the Air box...
I'll tell you what I suggest after a few replies are written...

Yes it did, screwed right in.
I noticed a 1 MPG increase in fuel economy going from the CGS intake and Magnaflow exhaust to the GMPP intake and Magnaflow exhaust. I now AVERAGE 28.5-29 MPG to the gallon on 93 octane.
I'm not overly concerned about the small little holes in the box, if it was something that would greatly affect anything, I'm sure GM would have modified the design.
