Any performance mods?

The design idea came from a 53/54 chevy truck, I just tweeked it here & there. The grill, frt. end, & rear end, are all custom metal. What you call unbalanced, G.M. is totally wild about. I had a couple of different ideas, but they like this one the best. One of the ideas I had was like what you mention, but G.M said it kind of look like a stock grill. The reaction & responce on the hhr especially the front end at SEMA was really amazing, especially in the 18-35 year old market. That's why I was give one by G.M to hit that age bracket & show what the custom possibility's are. Might add we chop the top 2". At this point have not done any performance mods, to busy with magazine shoots. Thanks for your & everyone else's feed-back, as it's always nice to hear the pro's & con's........

Thanks for the info, makes sense!!

Hadn't noticed it was chopped. I've been talking to a couple places about chopping mine 3-4 inches but few shops I can find want to do that on a new car. Afraid of the thin sheetmetal and all the electronics.

Mike, good luck on finding a place to do that, as I know how tough it can be, & I perfectly understand. I live in Az. but had it done in Calif. I also have a custom pt cruiser & they (Ranger performance) did the suicide doors ets. on that, so I went back to who I knew could do the work right. This guy (Attila) is really amazing with metal work.

Great Job, would like to see a side view picture, the chop must be subtle/small (don't get me wrong, that's cool), just hard to see a difference from the pictures posted. That is un-believable amount of work, and it looks good.

Later,
Mark

Any updates on the suicide doors? I need to find somebody around here who is skilled enough to do stuff like this. I really want to shave the handles and put suicide kit on the rear doors. That is pretty much the extent of metal work I want done.

I like the smooth lines...the back end with the Porsche Boxer-like center exhaust is a nice touch.
