Kool looking license plates

Well for thos that liked Harvey's black and gold California, I hate to tell you BUT THEY ARE GONE, GONE, GONE.
Yes I got a ticket for having altered plates. Then in the middle of the night the Santa Clara police had the Campbell police come to the apartment complex and remove my plates. So if you don't want to wake up and find your plates GONE, and then get to spend 4 hours trying to find out what happed, DON'T alter your plates. It was cool while it lasted. New plates have been ordered and are on there way.

See ya down the road

I guess I don't understand what you mean by altered. I am guessing that you might have painted them a different color than the standard california plates. Would that be the case?

In any event...that stinks that they took your plates. Why not just let you work it out in court instead of removing them from the car...or at least telling you that would happen if you didn't replace them immediately.

I had them painted black base with yellow/gold lettering. In the 40s / 50s California alternated between black/gold then gold/black. I thought it looked pretty kool, knowing that if I ran into a a________hole cop he could make me get new ones. Oh well, nothing ventured nothing gained.

See ya down the road

I have the Flamed Billet license Frame, it covers the month and date of expiration on the corners of my plate, I know this could be trouble, if they want to make it one!!!

That is pretty crazy to come take your plates!!!!!

Later,
Mark

You paid for them fair and square. I trust they are reordering the original personalized plates. But knowing how it might go, they probably made them non-active?
Too bad you can't say they were stolen and reorder them. Stolen is much different than confiscated! A mere technicality!
