My first Mods

I still like the look of the stock HHR (more or less). But I decided to change up a few things.

First, I added a set of molded mud flaps. I had the dealer install them, since I'm not the most mechanically inclined person out there.

I really liked to look of the stubby antenna, so I ordered one from SoCal, and slapped it on. I haven't gone driving since I installed it, so I don't know if there's any signal loss.

i got the same flaps on mine what you want to do is get a tube of white touch up paint from your dealer and sand paper over the letters
and then put 2 coats of the white and then 1 or 2 coats of clear nail polish
which will protect the paint looks real good afterwards

I'm not really sure. I was just going to put a single line down the long side of the body.

I'm also considering rally stripes down the hood, roof, and rear hatch.

about the flaps.... i went to my dealer today and they can get me the front + rear SET for about $55 + tax, which i thought was pretty good, cheaper then at gmpartsdirect.

Anyway, i searched some of the topics on the forum and i saw one that some guy had them on and it was scratching the paint where the molded part of the splash gaurd was rubbing against it causing some bad haze/scratch marks..is this happening to everyone with these splash gaurds?

if it was just him, what is/was the remedy?

i really want them, and i also want the stubby antenna, but i want a chrome one..i saw someones pic on here who had one, i think on a spring ed. it was nice

You need to be caref ul because the "universal" ones which I got didn't have a post which would work with the HHR. The only chrome one that I found, really someone else here told me, that works is for a VW Jetta. A perfect fit!

Hope this helps.

By "SET" do you mean you get both the front and rear splash guards for $55, if so I'll be getting them ASAP.
