It looks like carbon fiber got my vote.

O.K. Now get out the high speed cutter. Make it functional. Make a large hole in the hood the size of the "K & N" box on top of the engine. Put an air seal to seal the box from that mean old "Hot engine air" and have cool ambient ram air for an additional oh id say 2 - 4 HP. Could even hook up a throttle butterfly valve to open and close with the throttle movement in side the ram air opening.
Now that would look cool.

I'm not feelin it. If it was part of an aftermarket hood then hellz yeah. Personally I think if it was the same color at the stock hood, then it would caught my attention

I want my HHR to be accessorized in black and carbon fiber. The way I look at it, screw chrome the less the better! I want to leave a few things chrome like my door handles but I don't really want a chromed out HHR. I guess I go against the grain around here.

I happen to like the chrome with the Dark Silver Metallic, maybe a carbon fiber grille or black grille? that would remove alot of chrome and still give you your desired look!

Nothing against anyone who might like chrome of course. That's just my taste, I want dark not bling. I think I might have something in mind for the grille. :twothumbs

Nope. It's not that bad towards the glass. There is no crease that far back and it sticks out more as it gets towards the grille. The hood scoop is slightly flexible so it contours with the hood.
