My new 2009 SS Panel!
Some Deets:
It IS a stick- I test drove an auto and was not impressed. IMHO the stick is a must for the SS! I got this car from a dealer in Elkland, PA off ebay. I was going to get a new one but my local dealer told me there were only about 13 new panel SS's available within 3000 mi of DC! So, after a little searching around I got this one. There are a couple options I don't need, the RPD, for example, I find it distracting (but fun), and I don't know what half the stuff it tells me means- knock retard? camshaft overlap? spark advance?
Also, I would have left off the pinstripe- I prefer a minimalist uncluttered look. I do have the sunroof and the spotter mirrors- good for avoiding those DC cabs and cyclists.
It has the nice stereo too!
I love the looks, the mileage, the performance AND the cargo capacity. This last one is important for me as I play a large musical instrument for a living!
Things in mind for the future:
Bigger, simpler wheels. I am thinking a plain five-spoke type like on the SS shown at the SEMA show. Does anyone know what those wheels are?
The BSR/Hahn PPC tuner.
A debadge.
Any opinions?
