Your ride looks familliar! Mine's the same and I love it!!!

Let the mods begin. I say bumper pads to start 'cause you really see'em and they really make the car look different in a great way.

Oh, and as others say, get those mudflaps. Ours did not have them, but had the running boards and after 10K of driving much sand blasting has occurred

I had them installed by the dealer as part of buying the car. We bought it used.

Most of all, have a blast driving and enjoy the forum. It's the BEST!

Yes, mine has mud flaps (and everything else) I also put on the ventvisors
you can open windows without rain getting in, Mud flaps are on most cars and trucks here in central Indiana,Our limestone gravel is quite abrasive and
will ruin a paint job in a few thousand miles!!!!

Hi X-Ray, Do the ventvisors look decent, and do the cut or add wind noise?
Any pics?

I am thinking of them. It would be my first car with them since mt '64 Spyder Corvair hard top many years ago. My friend sold it to me and it had nice metal vent visors.
Too bad it it the only car I ever cought on fire. Stupid battery spark while working on fuel pump I ruined another friend's leather coat putting out the fire and ruined my friendship with the guy selling me the car.
So that is my only experience with ventvisors. Not really about them though.........

to chevyhhr.net. This is a great group of people who are knowledgeable and have lots of great ideas.
We look forward to seeing you around the boards and seeing lots of pictures. We love pictures.

Harpo...I have added the vent visors as well and I love them. Picked them up from AutoZone...they ordered them for me and they came in a couple days ($50 including tax) They do seem to cut down on some of the wind noise...and what I like, is that when my car is parked I can leave the windows cracked more so air gets in...and if it rains, you don't have to run right out and close it up, as they keep the rain from getting in the car.

Not a great picture (cell phone)

From a little farther away. Taken at Kenny Wallace autograph session.

Actually, they are easy to add yourself, but you have to drill the hole in the underside of your running boards for the bottom screw. So if you're squeemish about that sort of thing (or don't have a right angle attachment for your drill), you might want someone else to do it for you.
I bought the factory flaps ($60, I think... the older I get the harder it is to remember...:) and it was less than an hour to install. (And I spend a lot of time reading.. and re-reading... directions. Not to mention the time spent running up and down the stairs because I forgot a tool....lol.)

I checked with my dealer, and they can get me the molded mud flaps for $69.00. In fact, they have them in stock, and are keeping them on hold for me.

Installation would be extra, but I was going to see what I would need to install them myself. If it would take 1 service guy 45 minutes to do it, I'm almost willing to let the dealer install them. Especially since I'm not the most mechanically inclined.

If it's bad we're both in the same club.
