Looks awesome! Where in SD are you and where did you pick up your HHR? I had a hell of a time finding one when I bought mine!

B&G springs. Picked them up directly from B&G here in San Diego.

Hmm.... 1.6 frnt and 2 rear...thats quite a bit for an SS to be a daily...darn, Looks good though, have to stick with the 1" drop
I recant that,,, thats for a stock cobalt, not an SS/SC, that means its the same drop as The GL's therefore it would only BE a 1" drop on the SS( on a LT or LS it would be a full 1.6 and 2" )Good..how does it ride..geez, we need a comparrison now..its nice to have choices...
Realized after looking at pic again its at the same height as my LS Woody....

You missed my point your car was designed from the factory to be that low. The HHR SS on the other hand is not and your going to smack your bumper, side skirts or valance eventually, unless its a garage queen or Sunday driver. Like I said its not practical for a DD.

My collectors car was low from the factory also, and its not slow either

my vette was not that low from the factory. its dropped almost 2 inches like the hhr. there is actually A LOT less ground clearance with the vette than the HHR. I've never had an issue with the vette and i dont think ill have one with the shoe box. I understand you said it wouldn't be practical for you. but to me driving a lowered car is no different than driving my wifes jetta. I am always cautious of bumps, potholes. dips, steep driveways.etc...no matter what im in. It's no headache for me.

Thats all that matters man is that it works for you. Like I said earlier, I do like the look of the HHR that low.
So what kind of ride quality does the HHR SS have lowered that much?
Was a different shock other than stock required to get it that low and make it ride decent?
I best it handles like its on rails.

Ride quality isn't too bad. pretty smooth but does have the characteristics of a lowered car. But the handling is MUCH better and worth the trade off. Stock shocks. I have used these springs to hold me over for a little bit till i acquire some coilovers.

Looks good! I'm also interested in finding out where those CF emblems came from if you got them; or did they come with the SS when you purchased it??
