New '08 1LT!

Hello All,

I just picked up my 2008 Cardinal Red HHR 1LT yesterday and thought I would share a few pictures. I ordered the car from the factory on February 29 because I wanted the standard transmission. Options include the 7-speaker stereo, leather-wrapped wheel and fog lights.

On the whole, I love the car...although I was extremely disappointed to discover that the "custom spoke silver-painted wheels" advertised in the brochure for the 1LT package are nothing but 5-spoke stamped steel wheels with bolt-on plastic covers. The dealer and brochure led me to believe that the car would come with alloys.

A few modifications are due in the near future including a stainless exhaust, sway bars and some billet wheels. I still think it looks pretty, so for now, here are the pictures!

Looks good. You got the color I wanted but since the rebates and incentives had reached their peak in January I settled for a loaded Dark Gray 2Lt which doesn't show the dirt as bad.

Welcome to the site Roc!!

I chose the flashier Victory Red with the chrome package, but I like that Cardinal Red with the body-matched mirrors.

Get ready for the mod bug to bite... sounds like wheels will be on your to-do list first. :)

Thanks for the compliments guys! I was actually torn between Cardinal Red and Victory Red. The metallic content in the Cardinal Red really 'pops' in the sunlight, which I think is pretty snazzy. It does show the dirt something awful though. This will be a hard car to keep clean.
