Please note that I said ....if there is diminished brightness, it was not noticeable. I did not say it did not diminish the brightness. Maybe my judgement is poor .

We can just wait for the video, and/or reports from people that see it in person.
So no one really knows what this mystery stuff is . I can't wait to see the video also. I know with normal tail light covers, they seem to show through very well when lights and brakes are on. But with headlights it is differant with every one I have ever used. So I will hold off of judgement until I see. But I still say that if you put a non clear covering on a light, it has to diminish light output. Maybe not much, but there is just no way around that.

But the still look good.

"Only for show or daytime driving only", at least that's the disclaimer on all the boxes of manufacture's headlight films.

The "stuff" everyone is referring to is a transparent vinyl that I was lucky enough to find locally. I did buy the only roll and I have gone back to the shop several times and they have no clue who or where makes it let alone the name of the supplier they got it from. If the light output is diminished at all like Snoopy said it is VERY VERY minute! I have some pics I can upload tonight but my video camera has taken a crap on me and I have to purchase a new battery pack tonight or tomorrow.

The Ions in the pic are from our AZ Cobalt Ion group. There was a big meet this last saturday. Something like 20-25 cars maybe. Mostly Cobalts, those 3 Ions, and me. Its more of a delta chassis group than anything.
