New Grill...Depos...and HIDS Installed

Got a couple of ok pics this morning when I got to work so figured I'd post them up. I installed HIDs in my fogs...3k 35w in Yellow...installed the Depos with LED switchback turn signal bulbs on resistors to keep the hyperflash at bay...and installed a black billet grill. I went ahead and ordered the bottom billet to match since I like the top so much. I haven't seen any black billets on the site and I wanted something different since my 3-bar mod came out rough. Once I install my lower billet I'll be 100% done with the exterior and I'm moving onto interior and few bolt-ons. I'm hoping by Christmas I'll be done with modding but I'm sure I'll end up changing things around

Thanks guys! I think it looks really tough now! I may have to eventually swap out the wheels to something a little more aggresive but for now I'll keep the Drag's.

As for the lip, it's actually an idea I took from Lunchbox on his black panel...it's landscaping material you buy at Home Depot or Lowes...$10 for a 20' roll. You have to cut it to size and I attached it with those plastic body retainers. I've got to redo mine becuase I threw it up in a hurry to see how it looked...bad thing is it scrapes everything especially since I'm already sitting low. I rub every speed bump, driveway and large dip. Worth it though...I think it looks good, and yes that's a sticker on the front. I had to redrill an extra clip in that spot so I covered it with the sticker. Like I said, I've got to redo it at some point.

Lower lip and Depos

Black is such a hard color to capture on camera...in the photos it almost looks like someone ripped out your grille, but in person I'm sure it ties together nicely with the lip and Depos. A silver bowtie would look cool in the middle of the sea of black, but I'm sure how have it exactly how you want it. Looks good!

Someone told me the day I installed the grill that it looked like I had no grill. The front of the radiator had some bare aluminum that stood out and it did look like I had no grill. I sprayed it over the weekend with some high temp paint so it looks much better now. I really had to work with the grill to make it work and it still sticks out about 1/4 of an inch further than I'd like so I may go back to beating down the stock grill mounts. I thought about adding a silver bowtie but I have my rear bowtie painted black and honestly, I kinda like not have anything up front. Who knows, I may end up doing something later down the road.

You aren't kidding...I even started looking at new wheels and all! The wife has put her foot down and this is the last of the mods for me until Christmas. We've got to do a few things to her old Jetta so at least I have a new project.
