The Honda was the car to my right at the stop light. Green mini-van was were it wasn't suppose to be. Fortunately, since I was in the left lane, I was able to see it in enough time to back of the gas after just getting started after the light turned green. The Honda never had time to react. The Honda struck the fast moving mini-van dead in the side. Was able to watch enough to see the mini-van start to roll, due to trying to safely come to a stop myself, I did not see the entire roll over. Somewhere during the roll, the van somehow did somekind of flip as well. My wife had seen what she thought was an infant come flying out the window, thankfully it was just a babydoll. In all, 7 people in the 2 cars involved (4 kids ranging in age from 8 -3 in mini-van). Only one requiring medical attn was the 5 year old girl for minor cut on forehead.

I know exactly where that is. Sadly people drive like idiots around here. I work in the critical care unit of a hospital, we get quite a few trauma cases here from accidents.

Henry and I were driving on the highway in Smoke today and came upon a 1953 Retro Corvette. I did some research and found some info and a website about this car.

In January 1953, General Motors introduced the very first Corvette at the GM Motorama in New York City. The sporty two-seat roadster was an amazing innovation, and the Corvette concept went into production six months later to become the first American sports car. In that first year, 300 roadsters were built--every one of them with white with a red interior.

50 years later, a group of automobiles engineers designed a perfect way to pay tribute to the Corvette legacy by blending ‘50s styling and cutting-edge C5 technology. They masterfully grafted '53 Vette styling cues onto a white C5 convertible and reupholstered the interior with red and white leather.

Basically, the ’53 Retro Corvette is a re-body of an existing C5 Convertible. The new retro-designed package which includes a new front and rear fascia, headlights, chrome die-cast grille and bumpers, hood, fenders, rear quarters, inner and outer decklid, and LED taillights body (except the doors and top) replacing the original parts. Panels are bolted on to the existing attachment points. Chrome die-cast side door spears, brake calipers are painted either in red, black or yellow.

If necessary, a new interior takes the place of whatever interior the original C5 had and chrome 5-spoke wheels replace the existing wheels. 18- and 20-inch Colorado Custom chrome wheels with 235/40/18 and 275/35/20 will give the ’53 Retro Corvette a distinctly modern custom look.

Besides the "traditional" white/red combination, ’53 Retro Corvettes are available in red, silver, black, Le Mans blue, gold.

I didn't have my camera on me because i was working but, I was driving from Newark NJ to Bayonne NJ and below me is the Newark River. All the car deliveries that are to be distributed throughout the North east come into a big storage lot. I saw pobably 40 HHRs parked and a car hauler filled. I'm gonna take my camera with me from now on and if I go back over the bridge, I'll take a pic.
