07 2.2 manual - issues w reduced engine power, otherissues

Started two days ago- engine went into reduced engine power mode then the low fuel and power steering warnings came on. Limped home- the car from a dead stop, left off clutch gave it gas and it started jerking and then finally smoothed put enough to get into 2nd

I pulled the fuse for the ECM and it worked for most of the day , but on the expressway home it didnthe reduced engine power and the other warnings. Have not pulled codes yet- any suggestions? Replace ECM?

Replace the ECM? Why exactly do you think that will resolve the issues, or are you basing that just on spec?

Don't you think it might be a much better idea to download the codes and follow up with them first?

Just some of the other things I’ve read online about ECM and how it might affect the limp mode. But you’re right- I need to pull codes

At least have the battery and charging system checked before you start blaming those scary computers.

Do you mean you pulled fuse #41 underhood fuse box and the engine ran at all? Why would that even cross your mind?

I pulled the 25 fuse from the inside to reset the ECM per another post I read. The car ran fine for the short trip to work and then on the way home it was back to the REP and then here we are.

What that did was clear the codes that were causing the malfunction. As soon as the OBD2 tests run and fail the action of the computer returns. Fix whatever caused the code fix the problem; don't blame the messenger!

Yeah I figured that was the case so I’m taking it on for a diagnosis on the morning.

A simple post of those codes like P0010 or P0128 , the parts palace near you should have code reader services.
