Ok, so i spent the last week working on my Cherokee (suspension lift, tires etc) so now that it is done i refocused on taking the HHR into Christian Brothers for them to address the CEL P2270 error. I get in the car drive it over to the shop.............. NO CEL LIGHT! fml..... i took it to them anyways and explained whats been going on and i tell them "whats effed up is theres no CEL now" and tell them to inspect the vehicle and if that fails fix it.

get a call back 10 minutes later "ran it, no errors and passed inspection"

now im wondering if we should bother keeping it or just trading it in. Wife still likes the car its just a beating with these CEL issues.

You started this thread 5 weeks ago. Same day, Oldblue suggested that the battery might be the problem. You dismissed that idea. Then 3 more members suggested that the battery might be the problem. You said the problem started after the battery went DEAD! And yet you ignored the suggestions to get the battery tested.

Maybe you should just trade it in.

Nothing against Oldblue or you, but I didnt dismiss anyone's suggestions. I specifically mentioned about it dying because it was a specific use case to what I was experiencing (RCDLR issue) and Ive been following Don's suggestions every time he would suggest something. As for the timeline, I dont have the luxury of stopping everything and focus solely on the car as my work doesnt allow for that and even less so when I have a spare car that my wife can use while this one gets looked at. Ive done my best to answer and follow what people have suggested and asked so not sure your response was really needed nor beneficial. @donbrew and to others who suggested something, I appreciate your time and RJ, hope you get yours figured out.

So, did you have the battery load tested ? If so and it’s good , awesome
if not , I’ll suggest one more time to get it load tested, low voltage and amperage can cause your issues.
Thanks
