I had a similar problem with my HHR, the pressure cap did not seal completely because had some strange in the seal tank relief valve and let the coolant pass to reservoir .
Remove the presure cap and just blowing the bottom in order to check it.
You can cleaned pressing the spring an using cotton applicator to remove a strange deposit on de seal
