2.4LT won't start
Hi,to make a long story short here's what happened:1)Left the lights on for a couple of days 2)Battery was dead 3)Replaced old battery with new one (Bosch) 4) Started ok but keyfob not working and no TPMS 5)Hesitation and rattle noise on start up a couple of days later 6) This morning(about a week after replacement) no start even with jumper cables (starter not engaging).Any suggestions? Thanks
P.S. No GM dealers in Italy anymore.Chevys sold here are rebadged Daewoos (Korean).

Strange that GM has a power train factory in Turin.
No Opels?, No Saabs?
I am pretty sure that you are going to need someone with a Tech2 and a subscription to the firmware to reload the programming.
I'm guessing this is a 2008, that's the year that has the TSB about the RCDLR and dead batteries.

Saab is defunct and yes there are a lot of Opels around but they're different from the US models.I was trying to replace the POS rear hatch bow tie but the Chevrolets(Korea) sold here had different size emblems so I had to wait to come home to get a new one (I could have saved my money).I hope the electrician I left the car with can find the fault otherwise I'll have to wait until Sep.Luckily I have my bike and my wife's car!

Not to question your mechanic, but I would make sure that the starter is actually bad.
I remember an old thread where a member here was sure his starter was bad. Turned out to be a burnt wire or fusible link right up near the starter itself.
I would advise taking the starter off and bench testing it before buying a new one.
