2006 HHR Parking lights stay on.

I just bought a 2006 HHR. The yellow parking/signal lamps remain on after the vehicle is shut down and keys are removed. Also, the radio occasional says LOCK.

If I pull the fuse for the parking lights, they still remain on.
the previous owner installed a cut off switch on the battery (this would be why the radio says lock sometimes). I am baffled as to why my parking light will not go off without disconnecting the battery.
I have searched, no one else seems to have the same problem.

2006 the parking lights are also the DRL , but they should go off after you pull the key . Trace back that wire see where the PO connected it .

@Oldblue I am going to give it a try. I'm Just a youtube mechanic. Not a big fan of diagnosing electrical issue.
Hoping it's not the whole BCM not looking forward to making that work.

@Oldblue the crazy thing is. When I pull fuse #69 under the hood(diagram i saw said that was for park lamps) they still stay on. Just once I shut the vehicle down and got out, they where off.

Check the chart for DRL or daytime running lamps, could be a bad relay

@donbrew I'm trying hard to learn wiring and how to understand wiring diagrams.
crazy thing is I brought the car home tonight, shut'er down and everything worked. I did not have to disconnect the battery. Park light went out. Seems to be fixing its self.
makes me lean more and more towards a bad relay.

The DRL is the turn signals. the front and rear, left and right (4 circuits) are different circuits no relay involved they are controlled by the light sensor on the dash. The parking lights are all on one circuit with the markers there is a relay for them.

That switch is probably the problem somebody didn't think wiring schematics are important. Probably one of those "no guvment gonna tell me I gotta have safety lights" people that tried to turn them off. You can't turn the DRL off and retain turn signals on the front without doing some destructive rewiring.
