i purchased a new factory center bezel WITH fog light switch to hook up the wiring to..so i wanted to know if they can be wired to this switch bypassing the BCM or does the dealer have to get involved with flashing..

The dealer was able to program my 2007 LS for fog lamps with no problem. I have heard that some can't be programmed. It may depend what version bcm you have. Best I can say is to take it to your dealer and see if they will try. Most dealers will help you if they refuse try a different dealer.

You can wire it to bypass the bcm I did not. I did have to run a wire from the relay under the hood to the bcm because my 07 was missing that one wire.

He should be able to wire that up with no problem the factory switch is not made to handle much of a load so a relay must be used to wire the fog lamps

If you are bypassing the bcm you won't need to flash it. I was just saying that the factory switch needs a relay wired in to handle the load of the fog lights.

Sorry i didn't understand your question Installing the fog lamps like factory and flashing the bcm gives you the dash indicator when the fog lights are on and only lets the fog lights work with low beam only. It is just user preference I wanted mine to look like the fog lights came from the factory.
