2008 LS Overheating - Diagnosis help?
Good news/bad news.
New radiator cap purchased. Several test drives and burping sessions, and the temps are between 189-200. So that's good. I am guessing thermostat and water pump are working correctly.
But, when leaving Auto Zone, I saw a couple of tablesspoons worth of coolant on the ground, so there is a leak somewhere. Each top up is a little less coolant, but that leak is somewhere. The cap and tee seem dry as a bone after a drive and after the two hour cool down. No signs of leaks around the visible hoses or the thermostate housing. Maybe near the water pump?

Yes, look down from the top of the passenger side of the engine, look for coolant on top of the water pump, that’s where the weep hole is, also look at the ends of the transfer pipe the orings might be leaking, then on to the driver side at the thermostat housing block between the block and the engine
