2008 no crank no start
2008 no crank no start
I’ve been working on my daughters 2008 LT 2.4 for over a month(weekends) replacing transmission solenoids so battery was unhooked for a while. Now it won’t crank and also shifter is locked, I’ve performed the “ 30 minute key relearning procedure” still no crank, I’ve checked all connections and grounds. I’m out ideas and welcome all suggestions,(BTW, I had the battery tested and it was perfect) thanks in advance
Make sure the bolts inside the underhood fuse block are tight. The bolts need to be tightened more than you would think. There is a point of resistance, and you think they're tight, but then you turn them more, they get loose, and then they'll get tight.
Make sure all the connections from the battery, to the underhood fuse block, to the starter, then to the alternator, are clean and tight. Also inspect the battery terminal clamps, they have been known to crack.

Being that it is a 2008 don't be surprised if the TPMS doesn't work. After a loss of power the RCDLR forgets its programming. A firmware update is needed. If you are lucky the update has already been done.
