Hey all. My blower motor was off and on back in July. Whacking the dash worked for a while, but I think it's time to replace it.
I watched this video https://youtu.be/5Kcr22ATpAE and it said it was easy to cut out the old blower gasket type plastic between the two motor and housing, but on mine there appears to be a much more solid section of plastic next to the connector bridging the gap. See photo.
Am I supposed to cut through that as well? Will a sharp knife do it or will I need a saw?
It's already a tight fit under there.
Thanks.
Ok, I took that to mean the area between the screw holes. Am I wrong?
If so, where should I be cutting?
If I am right, there is still that solid part going across the two pieces.
I'm confused.
The cutting part is not that difficult WITH a sharp knife blade. If you started the cut you can finish it. Cut a little and look, then cut some more. I did at 62 years old.
Paying 50-60 bicks an hour (or whatever the rate is) is just plain silly.
Get'er done

Thanks. As soon as I went back outside, it started raining. I guess I will try tomorrow afternoon.
