Gap could have been off. I'd look at the turbo impeller too, little chunks of ceramic could have trashed it as well.

Chevy upgrade kit tune and mas, Trifecta tune, 3" mandrel bent inter cooler piping and intake, 3" exhaust, high flow cat, plugs were Pulstar. 2009 with 10000 miles.

More information today, cylinder wall on number 1 was melted. That was the same cylinder that the plug tip and insulator broke off in. Will look at turbo next for damage. Head might be OK but will need valve job.

Still leaning towards long block replacement and fly wheel, pressure plate and clutch setup. Stock clutch was slipping in top of third and forth gears.

 

Melted? That was no plug problem, that my friend is a floating valve any scaring on the intake? Ring in pieces? I wouldn't be too sure on the head either. Chances are your gonna have to have precision ground, any shearing on head bolts? Hope your not planning on warranty to cover this. GM will not be happy what does the oil filter look like? Im guessing too much timing from trifecta. That sucks, so sorry.

No warranty for sure. Looking at ecotec long block and exedy clutch setup. Go big or go home, or what else is there besides ome long block?

I'm not getting into the argument of what. My point, from the OP's post......

The plug manufacturer is excepting responsibility AND they are paying for the necessary repair (by the way, the Pulstar plugs are notorious for causing problems, although not this severe, in many different vehicles)......and, as I said, until those statements are corrected.

 

I m not picking a fight, im truly asking how do you melt a sleeve? Cast iron and graphite take extremely high temps to melt.
