I got a CEL for the exhaust side and replaced with I did not put oil on the o ring
I now get a intake CEL as well as the original
could this be the fault

Oil on the O-ring is to make it easier to install and protect the O-ring from being damaged during the installation.
It won't have anything to do with if the new parts work or not.
My guess is either you buggered up the wire connectors or you have a defective solenoid(s)

 

Exactly what I was thinking bad/defective from the cost alone I will try AC DELCO
I didn't mess up the connectors (OEM connectors can be costly)
think I will use 12679099 and 12679100

 

There are many, many companies that sell those solenoids branded under their name. BUT, I'll bet there are no more than 3-4 manufacturers that actually make them.
AC Delco would be a good name brand to go with ( I did when I replaced my solenoids). I wonder though who makes them for AC Delco ?

 

My cynicism is spreading.

 

X2 ^^^^^, I’ve removed several sets of cheap knock off solenoids , installed by , so called professional shops, oh they will charge for the hood parts but throw in the cheap stuff and hope you’re not back to soon, for electrical components, for most shops there is no warranty, maybe 30 days , if you’re lucky.

 

I do most of the work on my cars to save some money, things that I don't have the time or tools for I use an old shade tree mechanic that offers no warranty but does great work I like how clean he works

 

You don't say how many miles/how long since you installed the new parts, or how many miles/how long since your last oil change. Oil with a lot of contaminants can cause these codes.

Remove the new solenoid valves and inspect for metal shavings, sludge, etc.

 

I have had car for 500 - 1000 miles has 150k plus, all fluids ex tran changed alot more parts also, but these I put on 6-6-21
I will remove return and replace with better quality parts and this time I may oil the o-ring

 

I recently attempted to change the solenoids. When I removed the 10mm bolt from the intake side, the top of the solenoid was in my fingers, and the rest of it is still in the engine. Broke off even with the engine. Does anyone know how I can get this out of the engine. It still runs after I bolted the top half back down. As easy as that came apart, I'm pretty sure it was already broken. All suggestions and help will be appreciated immensely.
