Air Dam ?

Still getting to know my new to me 2011. The black air dam that seems to come loose every time I get near a curb is sending me further over the edge. Getting too old or lazy to lay on my side trying to reposition it so the question is can I remove it without causing any problems, such as cooling, rocks into the radiator and the like ????

You need it for air flow. Just stop sooner.

It does make one wonder why they build so many of the curb stops so high in lieu of all the smaller cars that sit lower.
I even had that problem on my Chev Venture Van.

I think it's the Who Cares Society"s fault.

If your car was lowered, you'd better stop sooner. The air dam wouldn't be the problem, the front end paint job would!

But if they didn't require 12" curbs (yes I exaggerate ) we would all be unsafe and kill ourselves. The government always knows best.

Good answers and thanks guess I will get out the drill and a few bolts. Will call my back doc first and make sure he has an appointment available.

I just got home from AdvanceAuto, yesterday somebody managed to jump the curb and run into their storefront. That curb is in the 8 inch range with wheel stops before that.

The AdvanceAuto in my area had the same kind of accident about 2 years ago. No wheels stops, but the driver jumped the curb and put a car sized hole in the brick wall on the side of the building.
