my 08 has started to peel/bubble. previous owner kept in garage and put 24000 miles on it. it has over 50000 now with me driving only 3 mons. so i am kinda stuck . i am not sure if i like the black paint. if anyone notices besides me , i guess this is the kind of advertising gm likes , and probably why they are begging us to bail them out.

 

I know my dad had a 2003 Silverado that did that, so it isn't a new issue... Hey just took it to the dealer and they replaced it. Then we sold the truck...lol. That wasn't why we sold it...we just didn't need that one anymore.

 

Well,GM didn't get it quite right yet.My 08 2LT,built in May,has the delamination problem.I'll get it corrected when the warmer weather sticks around.

 

Add me to the list, bought my 2008 2LT in January 2008, 25K on it right now, will go get this fixed probably at 35,000 miles, stretch that warranty as long as possible ;-)

 

My 08SS's rear emblem has this issue. My 06 never had the issue.

 

had it on the front, solution, new grill. now the rear is doing it so it will just have to be painted.

 

+1 for Jan 08 purchase and have this problem.

Freezing water was the suspect for the cracks in my front emblem - my dealer, Curt Warner Chevrolet, took one look and had the part on order.

 

My rear has the paint separation again. Thats 3 times in just over a year since bought brand new. Im tired of taking it in, so I did a vinyl overlay in a more traditional chevy blue.
