Arming other HHR's alarm!

So I went to the furniture store today and noticed a white HHR 2LT with an open space next to it, so I parked my HHR there. Armed my security system and went inside to shop. Came out about an hour later and hit my unlock twice, my car unlocked, the other HHR's horn honked!!

Coincidence that the other owner may have decided to arm his car the same time I was unlocking mine? No one else was around...

Discuss.

It could happen, or they saw you, and decided to play a joke on you.

Would have been funnier if they used the remote start at the same time ...

I love remote starting my car when people are walking by it, like at a grocery store or something. It's flippin' hilarious to see how they react.

Curious..if you noticed the other car locked or unlocked as well???

A while back, I posted a similar incident with a BMW parked next to me.

Nope. I just kind of looked around for a second, got in my car, and drove off while doing a most impressive burnout.

I know that there is a limited amount of key cuts that they use for each car, thats why they use the electronic key fobs. I don't know how they program the remotes but i i could see 2 hhrs of the same year send a signal close enough to pop the locks. Most things like that don't use exacts numbers or frequencies because of the so many kinds of interferences floating around in the air constantly.
