Smile auto door locking

We have a 2011 LT which is a great car but we despise the Auto-Door Locking system feature. Is there any way to disable this????????????

As per page 3-10 of your owners manual - nope.

X2 on what whopper posted.

Automatic Door Lock
On vehicles with power door locks, the doors
automatically lock when the shift lever is moved out of
(P) Park for a vehicle with an automatic transmission.
For a vehicle with a manual transmission, the speed
must be greater than 5 mph (8 km/h).
The automatic door locking feature cannot be disabled.

Power door lock fuse

you would have to lock and unlock every door manually and probably couldn't lock/unlock the hatch

Just a silly update...

Actually, I have fuse 26 out right now and the back hatch locks and unlocks just fine. Wish I could get fuse from blowing because of other problems though... Getting tired of having to reach over (like a much older car...) to lock and unlock doors! I don't like when I see one of the doors unlocked (that I missed) when returning to car.

Also, I can remote start with my doors unlocked. The fuse just stops the door solinoids from working. It still thinks the doors locked when pressing the FOB and can then start car normally.

With my HHR I noticed that when I start the car and have it in park I am able to go through a bunch of different stuff on the DIC, and I was able to turn off the auto lock unlock.

Press and hold the bottom two buttons on the steering wheel and see if you have the option with the lock unlock. Ill go out to my car here in a few and update this response just to make sure.

Check the label on your glove box door. I am wondering if AP3 is there. You may have a former fleet car with mods applied.

Many fleet/rentals shipped with no remote start, so many folks added it. When I bought my 2008 the salesweasel told me "since there is no fob with the keys you don't have remote door locks" so I installed an after market system... before I discovered the fob hiding in the storage compartment. They both worked, but differently.

Don't think you're talking about the same thing we are. Read my post #3. It's straight from the owners manual.
