Car is a 2010 2.2. I was installing a new exhaust manifold, when coolant starting leaking from the back of the block on the right side. Is there a 13mm bolt back there that I could have somehow loosened to cause this. It’s a tight spot and will be able to take a closer look next week. Just curious if there is a bolt back there that I accidentally loosened. It’s going to be near a exhaust manifold stud.

 

Any of these on the water pump?

 

I am pretty sure it is one of those bolts, especially if on of the is close to exhaust manifold bolt. Going to look at it in a couple of days. Thanks for your response and picture.

Hmm. Those water pump bolt/nuts don't even point in the same direction as the exhaust manifold studs. They are 90 degrees different in direction. Not sure how you could take off one of those even by mistake.

 

But it is plausible

 

I found the leak. It is coming (pouring) out of the coolant transfer tube. What would cause this????

 

The oring nicked or damaged , age cracked?

get two one for each end

That is not a gasket it is a O-ring. I think it is part #90537471 it is actually round, that might be why you can't find it.

It’s easy to replace them yourself, but the exhaust manifold should be removed again
