Bad smell
Also available is an A/C sanatizing spray available at most auto parts stores - like this http://gngsales.com.au/products/deta...rosol-auracsa/
I used a similar product in my Dodge - and it worked great.
Like sleeper, I try and remember to turn off the a/c a mile or two before I will be turning off the car.

Ok this makes no sense the smell has gone away completely. I did not do anything. The only thing that has changed is the weather it has gone from dry and cold to wet and some what cold. I have run the defrost, no defrost just straight vent air. Any ideas or just enjoy the sweat smell
No more smell
I found out what was stinking up my ventilation system or I should say my boss figured it out for me. The windshield washer fluid bottle was contaminated and smelled like puke so every time i sprayed it on the windshield it would run down in to the intake and the ventilation system would start to stink.
Mystery sovled.

Go to your local auto parts store. There are several aerosol products made to spray into the vents to clean out the nasties. The problem arises from a clogged drain vent; that small hose sticking out of the firewall passenger side.
