6-7 years ago the Cuban shop cut out the oem blower motor that quit (like you can see in both videos) and replaced it with this universal flange style blower motor and they did not give me the old blower motor with the plastic housing and cap, so I do not have the old blower motor with the plastic housing and cap. I am looking for that plastic housing and cap. So I do not have those parts anymore to take a picture of.

If you watch DB's video you will see that this guy does not put the plastic cap back on the new blower motor and plastic housing that the blower motor is sitting in. I don't know why he did not put that plastic cap back on. If you watch the video I put up you will see the factory orm blower motor being cut out and the plastic cap being drilled off and the plastic housing pulled off the old blower motor then the plastic housing with the new blower motor and plastic cap replaced back into the air box.

I am not asking how to replace the blower motor!!!!
I have done a couple of other cars.

I am asking if anyone knows where I can find that plastic housing and cap that the blower motor fits into. I am missing that plastic housing and the plastic cap that holds the blower motor. (see my video)

If it works it works.
The Cuban shop cut out the orm blower motor and replaced the original unit with a universal blower motor as in OB #3 post. I would like to go back to the oem factory fan style but I do not have the plastic housing that holds the blower motor, I also do not have the plastic cap to do so.

DB:
I found this in your files.

I'm looking for part #2 and part #6. The plastic housing and the plastic cap. This will allow me to go back to oem blower motor style.

I understand what you’re looking for now, I will have a look in my shed and see if I squirreled one away.

Does your new motor have threaded studs to fasten the cover to? Like in the photo of the GM replacement blower

I have not ordered a new motor, because I have not found the housing and cap so far. If I can't find part #2 & 6# I will have to replace with the one in your post #3
I will order the style that I need:

The unit you posted in #1 does not use the cover. I knew what you meant. I just don't understand why you care.

It PO'ed me that the Cuban shop did not replace the oem motor and they did not give me the old parts with the housing and cap so I can go back to the factory style blower motor.

I like this little sissy truck (know what I talking about) and want to keep it as stock is possible. You should see the looks I get when I walk up to it and open the back doors with no windows or door handles in it. People don't believe it. I can also be standing in front of it talking to them and press the button and it will start running. I like the little thing! I have drove a lot of trucks, this thing just fits me.

The HHR community on social media is parting out HHRs pretty regularly. I would spam some of those threads. Do you know the part numbers you want?

No I don't
I'm not sure if there are part numbers for them, I don't think that they ( that housing & cap) were ever sold as parts???

I googled for that lower motor cover, no part numbers or anything. Pick a part item, HHR or Cobalt , G5 and I’m sure other GM products
