Brake peddle "pops"

While driving my wife's 1LT with auto I have noticed that after driving for a while coming to a stop the brake peddle "pops" That's the best way I can explain it. It's more something that I can feel rather than hear. If I just used the brakes, it doesn't happen, only after driving for a while (a mile or so).

The only other time I have felt something like this was many years ago on a Mustang just before the master cylinder failed.

This is one of 3 HHRs we have owned and this only happens with this car.

If I take it to the dealer I am fairly sure I will get the "problem not found" as it only happens after driving a while without hitting the brakes. The dealer is in town and unless the tech takes a nice drive in the country, he won't duplicate it.

Has anyone ever had, or heard of, this problem?

Why don't you stop by the dealership, set an appointment, let them know the problem and see if you can put the needed miles on the vehicle before you take it in so a tech can experience the popping when you get there?

Ya, I will make the appointment, but I will probably have to come to a stop when I get to the dealer. I will get the "pop" and they won't, unless the tech can run along and hop in the drivers seat while I am still moving so I don't have to hit the brakes
It's the wife's car and hard to get it in as she doesn't do that sort of thing
