skyline26, I recommend contacting the warranty specialist at your local dealership to see if your situation might be covered. You will probably have to get the vehicle to the dealership's collision center for them to look at it, but it is worth a shot. They could let you know what is causing this.

GM has an excuse(cop out) on hand...and some others have heard it besides me. they like to say that "its the customers fault for not completely drying the car when washing" so apparently were supposed to dry our car when it rains too.....I went though this with my first HHR, and wont even bother trying with this one.

we all know its a bad seem seal from the factory, but that doesn't matter

the car was never undercoated..but since I bought it in May of this year, ive had it done and will do it again before winter kicks in. Ill bring it up anyway and see what happens, if dealer says no then maybe a call to GM itself. They told me i have factory warranty on my 2008 until november or december..not sure if its bumper to bumper or drivetrain or what it is but we'll see :p

If Im not mistaken, GM's rust warranty is 5 or 6 years..but it has to rust through the paint..meaning a hole...so bubbles don't count i dont think..I hope you find a better dealership than some of the ones around here

fyi to our southern neighbours - Ontario has a long-running reputation for being hard on cars with salt on the roads during the winter.

the factory warranty is 3yr/60000km bumper to bumper, which is what my dealer did the paint service under. It probably wont rust all the way through until the rust warranty has expired. There is also the powertrain warranty for 5yr/100000km.
The warranties begin on your cars "in service date", which you should get from the dealer.

Here's a thought.

You might consider adding a GM Protection Plan.
You have to do it before your BB warranty expires which is a very short time for you.
You can call 1-877-466-9166 and get all the info on pricing and coverage.
This will get you a Discounted online price for the policies available.
If you are able to pay the premium up front they will give you an additional discount.

I just bought a 2010 LT with low mileage and 6 months left on the BB, but because it has under 24,000 miles there is a better rate available.
Also there will be a price increase Oct.1rst.

Because you don't put lots of miles on it they have a plan to cover you there too.

I will be buying a policy for mine before Oct 1rst.

Also I think they cover the wheel bearing issue.

Don't Dilly Dally if it sounds interesting .. Time is running out on your BB.
