I was thinking about telling you to try 3M 5200 boat caulk.. You could get in there and smear the stuff around and that should do the trick. Im a dynomite GENIUS!

My "butyl patch" repair did not resolve the problem so I took your advice and looked to the wiring feed through boot on the passenger side door pillar. Even though the boot hadn't separated from the door frame (like in your picture) I decided to slather some sealant around perimeter of the boot just in case the water I observed dripping over the boot was seeping behind it. Today we had a torrential downpour and my floor stayed nice and dry. It looks like this quick and easy repair did the trick. Thanks for the suggestion and the excellent picture to point me in the right direction.
