Angry A/C and Heat Air Flow **VERY WEAK**

I drive down to the city, about an hour drive, park 30 minutes late get back in and my A/C doesn't come out at all. So i put it on full blast and barely anything comes out. I tried all the different outlets and heat as well, but still weak air flow. When I accelerate, the air flow picks up but doesn't stay strong. It's almost like the car can't create it's own air flow for the A/C and Heat. Please someone give me an idea????

First thing I would check would be the fuses. If they are good, I would then check the blower motor. Possibly check the cabin filter and see if there might be some sort of obstruction in that area. If it is still under warranty........let the dealer trouble shoot the problem.

Does it sound like the blower is spinning up when you adjust it from low to high? If the doors in the ductwork arent moving, and the blower is on, you should hear a lot of noise when the air doesn't have a place to go... Either way it sounds like its time for a dealer run...

First If the Blower is working I would pull out the Cabin air filter located behind the Glovebox the turn on the fan and see what happens.... there could be an obstruction before the air filter... or in the air filter.

Yeah, I have the problem where the only fan speed that works is the highest.

I live in AZ and I have to say that the A/C works really well. I have an Avalanche, that is in the shop, and I think the HHR has a better setup

Resistor

sounds like a blower motor resistor.

i agree with hellraisehr....the blower motor resistor is shorted.
When I had a waterleak on the passenger floor, the blower got wet and would only run on high.
