Lightbulb Can Fast blink from LED turn signals cause damage

Recently I changed all of my lights to LED's ,
I did not install the resistors although I do have them (they arrived shortly after I had put everything back together).
The hazards seem to flash with normal timing but the turn signals are in hyper mode (like a bulb is out).
All of the DRL work fine and the radio works.

My question is "Can the non use of resistors cause any issue ?"

I am more worried of the heat they can produce causing an issue.
I am fine with the appearance of a fast blink.
Any advice welcome

I’ve run leds for a few months, the fast clicking drove me nuts, and the couple of police pull overs to ensure all my lights were working prompted me to go back to incandescent bulbs , then I scored a set of IPCW ruby red led tail lights, they don’t hyper flash, I waiting till spring to install a pair of switch backs in my front signals and I will install resistors
Ive not read any information about the hyper flashing causing any type of damage

If you replaced the CHMSL bulbs without resistor I bet your Cruise Control stopped working.

Why worry about heat from a 6 Ohm 50 Watt resistor? This guy is selling something and by abusing the blinker he is getting the temp up to around 360F. We learned from Vonnegut that paper ignition point is 451F. Global Warming? Stop driving a car would help a lot more. If your beer is getting hot, move it farther away. Maybe don't lay it on a piece of plastic, they are designed to free hang for cooling.

Attach the resistor to a strip of aluminium then attach the aluminium to the metal body of the car, it will dissipate the heat

I will have to check on that

Aluminum tape maybe i don't think I have any aluminum strap laying around (I might)

The resistors come with rather large cooling fins made to hang in fresh air. But, why fear 200 degrees for a few minutes at a time; got something slow cooking? The definition of "baking" is excess of 380F

I just didn't install them originally because they arrived late
then I thought about the heat issue
I have to replace several panel push pins and a fender liner so I will get the turn signals

The center brake lights may not have enough room to keep them in a good spot without adding a lot of wire 4 bulbs = 2 resistors

Wish the flasher could be changed but as I understand it's in the BCM that would be the easier solution

just may be w/o cruise control

The easier choice would be to go back to the incandescent bulbs in the CHMSL, which should last for many years.

I wouldn't want to drive without cruise control.

I put Lasfit 921 led's without a resistor in my CHMSL and have no issues with the cruise control.

There is no flasher module on the HHR, it is a function of the BCM. The solution for older cars was to get a solid state flasher module. I don't know what is different. I am confused.
