Car just dies while running!
Last 3 days my 2006 HHR LT, I'm driving along and puff the engine shuts down and no warning lights appear at all. Pull off to the side of the road (luckily no one has been on my bumper), put it in park, shut key off and re start and its fine for awhile longer.
Its done it for the last 3 days. 2 days - once, now today 2 times within an hour.
Called my local Chevy garage and they are looking at it as we speak!
Has anyone else had similar experiences? Garage says it could possibly be Fuel Injector related! Will keep you guys/gals posted as to end result.

When it shuts down, does the DIC go out? Are you going over a bump when it cuts out? Mine had the ignition lock cylinder replaced because it was loose. The car would shut off, DIC and all because the key was moving to the ACC position. Car will restart fine after that.

No bumps at all. Driving along on Turnpike and quits. No warning at all other than a little sputter. Dealer said they had some Fuel Injector related issues.
Will keep everyone posted once its diagnosed & fixed.

Okay, there are problems with ignition keys being shut off under those circumstances, by drivers knees/thighs. The fact that their are no dash lights would indicate that this is the possible problem or something else is causing a loss of the ignition switch circuit. I know it sounds far fetched but there is a bulletin on cobalts on this issue. You will know if this happens by the position that the key is in when it dies. The fix is a plug for the key slot which has only a small hole for the key ring instead of the elongated slot on the key. This may not be happening on yours though.
Normally if it is fuel related you would have the usual warning lights on when it died since the key is in the run position.
