Car wont open, alarm always screams! Help

Hello

I think i will be the most popular trouble asker/answer around here :)

Today i tought (my mechanic) tought that the FOB has low battery and the car didnt want to open when we pressed the unlock button, weve replaced the battery and the system went nuts! Alarm wont turn off - it only turns off when i run the engin, usually it turned of when ignition was on, now i have to start the engine to turn it off! lifegate, wont open so i cant get to the battery! Only option workin on pilot is the locking procedure, but it wont unlock. Looks like the key lost? its program, only thing that changed is a yellow car/padlock icon flashing when car is locked, what could happen by the night ?

OH! I turned all the setting to default such as the manuel says.

If you lock with the remote then unlock with the key the alarm will go off.

Use the unlock button on the driver door to unlock the lift gate.

The fuses are under the hood and in the passenger side foot well.

Turn the alarm off by starting the car with the key.

The lock icon always flashes when you lock the car with the remote.

rapid flashing means security has been activated.

The key can't "lose programming".

Ad. 1. I tryed unlockin by key to the lock not by button, when i open the door alarm is on, it can be turned off only by starting the engine, yesterday the alarm could be turned ob by starting the ignition but not runing the car. The button on the door wont open the lifegate

Ad. 2 fuses burned out ? which fuse to check ?

Ad. 3 Like i sayed, yesterday the alarm could be turned off by runing the key in possition 2, today i have to start the engine to turn it off

Ad. 4 Lock icon responses to unlock click on the FOB but the door wont open (the light flashes when i press the button, but nothing happens)

To learn how the security works download the pdf owner manual throughhttps://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gene...s-manual-3074/, sorry only english, maybe french.

The master lock switch on the driver door is supposed to lock and unlock all doors.

Sometimes the plunger on the doors binds preventing it from popping up.

Be sure NO fuse on position #11 underhood. A fuse in that position will permanently lock the tailgate.

I meant that you could pull the horn fuse to turn the alarm off.

When changing the battery in the remote you must be careful not to dislodge the cage from the circuit board.

This seems very similar to a dying main car battery.

This night we didnt sleep, cause alarm was noisy all night.

Locking procedure works but unlocking not

Master door switch unlocks only doors in the cabin, the liftgate is still locked

I have 3 remote controls for the car, all have new batteries, one of them is brand new.

NON OF MANUAL OPTIONS FROM PAGE 2-6 to 2-11 WORK, locking procedure works, unlocking not.

First, in underhood fusebox, remove fuse #60, to disable the horn. Then check fuses #10 and #18, for the liftgate. Make sure there is NO fuse in position #11. Check fuses #4 and #6 for the BCM.

Then go into the inside fusebox and check fuses #8 and #10, for the Passkey security system.

Have the battery tested, hope they give you a printout, post the results here.

At some point you will want to reinsert fuse #60 for the horn.

Its typical repairs mostly bodypaint repairs. Cause i was mad that car horns when i lock/unlock the doors i wen in the personalisation menu and turned the settings to my own need, then the car went nuts, so yesterday i chnged the setting to default such as the manual says.

the battery was pulled out for 3 hour now the car locks and unlock, but yesterday was the same it worked for 3-4 hours then it was back to alarm and unlocking problem.

I have to plug it to the computer and print the error codes will be back at the forum ASAP

***
Like i sayed after i drove 10 km to a car service to check the wheels and the stering and all the things under the car. Car stoped responding to FOB, the locking procedure works, unlocking not, alarm screems again

***
Only computer will show us whats the problem i will let You know about the codes

-----
Where can i find the alarm sensor under the hood ?! I checked polish forum of chevy aveo, and some people have the sam problem as mine, the wires to the sensor can be dameged so the car thinks that the hood is open and starts the alarm

Hello

So errors:

B3006 - Hood Ajar Cirut Short to Ground
B1325 - -Device Power 1 Circut Voltage Below Threshold

And another one is about the pilot no code (i didnt get the picture) - but it was something like Transmiter lost connection with ECU? - Fault 14?

As the mechanic said the FOB has connection problem with the car, probably the FOB has ciruits burned and the transmition frequency is not proper so the computer dosnt open the door and start the engine.

The told me to try program the keys again.

And losts off error about battery that it was diconnected (rear lights, front ligts, no ECU connection etc.)

So thats why i had a brand new FOB purchaised by previous owner i think that he knew both oryginal FOB are damaged.
