CEL Fuel Injector

How would they know which injector was a problem?

If it's like off road Diesel engines, they disable the injectors one at a time to see which one doesn't change the way the engine runs.

Actually the code(s) will tell you. P0300 Engine Misfire Detected, P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected, P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected and so on.
