Problems/Service/RepairsIf you have a problem with your HHR, want a tip on repairing or performing a particular service to you HHR here is the place to post!
Just citing my personal experience. Stands to reason if one clogs up the other will follow soon. Who knows, maybe if they replaced both 3 years ago there would be no problem now?
I read through this research thread I think 3 times and bought the 12563914 insulator for the front before I left. The front is smaller than the two in the rear. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...rommets-57148/
There wasn't a real consensus in that thread about the part number for the rear 2 insulators. I decided to order part 19177871 for the rear two insulators. ( Rock Auto doesn't carry that part.) If these parts work for me I will add my info to that research thread.
I am just waiting for these last two insulators to arrive to change out the solenoid, air filter and insulators. I will make an appointment for the oil change too.
Money is tight here and I did a bit of research. I bought them from this site https://www.trunkmonkeyparts.com/oem...lator-19177871 which ended up being $13 shipped for 2. The site above was $20 shipped and I saw another site that charged $20 for shipping alone! I didn't think to check the superseded part number though. I will remember to do that in the future. Thanks for reminding me :)

Yeah, maybe, and I gotta admit your experience is valuable and to be respected. I would definitely agree that both should have been replaced three years ago, because P0014 suggests a gummed up valve and there was a good chance that the other one could have quickly followed. But it didn’t happen and we’ll never know what the problem was.
But I think the P0010 suggests a shorted or open solenoid, not a gummed up valve. There may be some reasons why two solenoids would fail in quick succession but I don’t know what it is, other than pure chance.
My guess is, P0010 or P0013, just change the offender. P0011 or P0014, change both, unless you’re feeling lucky.
