Chilton DIY

Along with the 06 HHR that I bought recently in Florida, I also bought a 2006 Pontiac Montana Minivan.

For the HHR, I already have the factory service manuals.

The factory service manuals for the Montana are currently out of stock everywhere (including at Helm). There are a few on ebay for almost double the cost of new manuals ($365).

Has anyone used the Chilton DIY online manuals? They want $30 for a year. Before I do this, I had a few questions. Is this like having the factory service manuals, except they are online? Are these manuals detailed enough?

Thanks
Steve

Well detailed, but everything you need to know is online somewhere, like YouTube or a website, one of my friends has a 2006 Chevy Uplander, the Chevy version.
I just Google whatever problems it's thrown at me from swapping out the rear wiper to addressing an ABS issue

I would do that, too, rather than ponying up the cash.

I had an '02 Venture. People like me might be able to help with "typical" repairs, too. Toss it into off-topic, and you might get lucky.
