Mine has been clicking since I got it. The grandson likes to predict when it will stop. (about 5-8 clicks)

Old thread, but finally fixed it. Posted a video for anyone interested:

It didn't require any fastener removal thankfully. Was a pain to get to. It's a 2009 HHR.

Good video! I assume it was upside down to get in there. Been listening to mine for about 4 years now, I tell people I programmed it to do that. The kid's jeep does the same thing (2016 patriot)

Yeah. Getting it out can be done left handed or w/ a pry bar, but getting it back in is tricky. Had to lay on my back and use my right hand. I tried to use the pry bar to wedge it back on, but it wasn't going since it was hard to align. I can see if being done though. I just wasn't of the expertise to do it.

Anti-theft feature. It's just loading rounds in the chamber.
