Intermediate shaft. It has a universal joint that is a POS. Not a safety issue.

X2^^^ have someone turn the steering wheel look for movement in the yoke under the hood.
Check the LCA’s rear bushings, both sides

Steering Wheel Shaft parts ?

I mentioned awhile ago I can feel a very light clunk forward or reverse parking. common issue I know
Part brands can be hit or miss on quality !
What is the best brand to use ?
I assume the whole shaft ?
Just want to do it once and from the part prices I see not too bad in price.
It will be done at a shop and will have the radiator flushed while there !
When I ask the shop what brand they use I want to be sure it is a good one !
Any idea of approximate cost, ???
I know labor varies by state
My guess $300.00/$400.00 With parts ?
About how many hrs to change it ?

Flush and refill is about $150.00
And no way will I do it lol

Thanks

If you grab the shaft and twist does it move?

Intermediate shaft labor is 0.9 hours. The part at GM is $206.74.
I thought the clunk was when turning the wheel? If it is when backing and forwarding it is more likely the LCA bushings.
