Clunking Sound....
Hello all, I am new to this forum....
I have a 2006 HHR, purchased brand new with a little under 38,000 original miles......
However, here is my question.......when I am driving at low speeds, under 40 MPR I have this clunking sound on the drivers side.....you can here it more so when there are patchy parts in the road and when turning up on an incline....I did read a service bulletin recently from 11/2007 that stated there was an issue with the steering column making a knocking/clunking sound at low speeds........supposedly the dealer said they cannot fix it as my car in no longer under warranty......is this what it is and if it is is it fixable at home ( I know several individuals who are very car savvy).....I'm just so frustrated because I LOVE my car but have had so many issues with it........any advice would be helpful!
Thanks,
Lee
