clunking sound when shifting
08, auto, 76,000kms or 47,000miles..i hear this clicking/clunking sound when i shift out of Park to any gear P R D, hear it through all of them...there was never a noise before but im just wondering if this is normal? maybe tranny fluid needs changing?

ATF would not cause anything like that.
Before what? You have done lots of modding, many that could cause the clunk. Exhaust pipes, motor mounts, trans mounts, there is a bracket between the trans and the engine, could be CV/axles, could be struts/springs/mounts, forgetting to tighten a bolt or 2.

First thing. You need to find precisely where the noise is located.
With a helper, one of you place it in and out of gear while the other locates the area where the noise is. Get back here when you have a better location narrowed down.
A broad guess. If you've changed or altered the exhaust, it could be hitting something when the engine torques or moves within the engine mounts.

Does it clank when ur car shifts gears?
If not, then id assume its a tranny issue. Mounts could be, but do some hard pulls, if no noise, i couldnt see it being the mounts, but i could be wrong. If u have a dipstick check it and see if it smells burnt or looks foul.

OK, the mounts appear to be fine. What about the other suggestions? We can't help you, if you don't help us with some info.
