Yeah, I looked at the 1st 2 vids from a search and realized that they were just guessing, Much ado about difference in packaging that could easily be attributed to different times of manufacture and "new old stock."
The first one claimed the the one with the guard made of plastic tubing was fake, and the one with no guard was real. Humm.
The second one offered no more actual inside information or knowledge, but part the reasoning made some sense. He had a set from Autozone, from Ebay, and from an Ebay seller in China (!) He reasoned that Autozone's were real, showed how Ebays were indentical, and how Chinas were different in packaging and product. For me, the most convincing points were the absurd $14/4, and the China source.
Didn't look at any more. These Youtube "channels" care more about revenue than accurate info. These guys appeared sincere, but many just make stuff up, like instruction on how pair new remote fobs yourself. Complete nonsense.
I really would like to hear from someone who has some actual factual knowledge, but that would prolly be someone at ACD, so not gonna happen.
Autozone 41-108 were cheaper than Ebay, BTW.
I have a suspicious set of (6) 42-109's for an LLT (3.6 V6) in a front wheel drive. PITA to change the rear 3, so will be buying a more trustworthy set. Have set (4) 41-103's for a 2.2L HHR that I have no reason to doudt.

It's not only the box, it's the different electrodes, different porcelain, color of the blue ink on the plugs, where the letters and #'s line up and once you have one right next to the other you can see the difference right away. You need to look harder.
So how about some pictures showing the difference ? Side by side, real vs fake. Seems like if it were that obvious they were fakes then you wouldn’t have installed them. Or did you know and were just gambling ?
Again. Pictures please.
Again. Pictures please.
I did not know they were fakes until I took the bad plug out and took and got a real plug from the auto parts store and put them side by side and then it became obvious. I'm not taking any pictures for you people, you can kick rocks if you don't believe me.
Not saying I don’t believe you. I was just curious what the fakes looked like. Was hoping for a visual.
I’ve been wrenching on cars for almost 50 years. Seen some knock off parts before. Just wanted to see the fake spark plugs that’s all.
