Be curious to what you learn by caliper temps.
Didn't end up going out last night, so I'll have to check it today.

The spec.'s GM has for these and some other cars are so ridiculous. You can be in spec on one side and have very different spec for the other and still be in allowable tolerance (which generally Kocks the steering wheel slightly, pulling to the left).

I had this problem also, until I took my car to a Vette handling and tuning shop. They knew instantly what the problem was and corrected with a proper alignment.

Just recently I was at my Chev. Dealer and spoke to the Service Manager about this. He said their "front end" people are NOW aware of this and do the proper alignment. I'll find out the end of next week. It's going in for some service and I'm having them do an alignment (it's been about 3 years).
Hmm. This may be why one of my co-workers said "All new cars usually pull one way or the other, it's normal. I refused to beleive that though, but with what you said I can see where someone might have drawn that conclusion. I am considering taking it somewhere else, but since I'm trying to get it all repaired with no additional cost since I just bought it, that'll be my last resort.

I had the same issue my car pulled left even on a angled road to the right It eoukd pull left.
Used the old hot rod trick of a couple pounds less air in the right side just to test,
Swaped front tires left side to side helprd a little.
Had gm alogn it.
Then brought it to a shop with a better alignment rack
but.more importantly a better tech.toe in was out etc.
maybe a.little.better so I gave up it was.just a.little.off
about a week later I notice that the steering column felt loose inside.
gm tech verified and replaced.
did not expect that to help with the pulling issue but it cured it.
Hmm. Column seems ok on mine but that is something to consider. I also just remembered, for my year there is an extended coverage for a no-charge replacement power-steering motor. The TSB seems to indicate that it may fail prematurely, but Maybe related as well?

I will make sure they check this too.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I'll let you know what they find.

I happened to notice it and was able to stop. Using my hand to check, the left did feel slightly warmer than the right. I'd like to check this with a thermometer to be more accurate, but the caliper might be something to lean towards when I confront the dealership again.

If you have a caliper dragging, you should notice radically uneven pad wear. Usually it's the inner pad first.

I agree with Sleeper! The left one should be warmer after driving and stopping a few times.

Interesting, my rear drums do get some heat to them, of course much less than front discs.

But I do keep my rear brakes properly adjusted.
