Coolant Leak

2008 HHR LS
Had a minor coolant leak from bottom of upper radiator hose. I just replaced both upper radiator hose, reusing the factory radiator hose clamps. I drive it 15 minutes to work and notice coolant still leaking from bottom of short radiator hose. Are the factory clamps known to leak? I plan to replace them with worm gear clamps tomorrow or is there something that I need to be looking at? Thanks

The filler neck itself cracks and crumbles.

Filler neck! Try the worm gear clamps first

Removed the four factory hose clamps and installed the correct size (43mm or 1-3/4") stainless worm gear clamps. Put the gear on bottom so you do not see it, correct size so it does not have a tab poking out. Looks Great.

Still freaking leaks!!!

I suspect the radiator cap, O-ring looks nice and smushed. I'll probably just order both the fill neck Tee and the radiator cap from amazon.

Last thing I bought was a plastic filler neck. That fixed the leak! On a good note, everything there needed replaced anyways. Sorry, I had already ordered the plastic neck before I saw the steel neck recommendation. Thanks

Plastic is fantastic, but steel is real and aluminium is way cooler!

Think it's time for mine to get replaced, tiny drip, looks like from cap, but wiped & left overnight, wet near the angle that pipe goes upward to cap.

Finding replacement, not so easy...But ordered.

New OE pressure cap seems to have done the trick...
